Modeling

Last year the Diplomatic Spouses Association put on a fashion show, the designer was from Israel and had 6 models, 5 of the models being American teenagers whose parents were apart of the D.S.A.. The show was on Wednesday, November 3rd. The event was to help raise money for an orphanage.

During the event we had to work the crowd and halfway through the fundraiser the other girls and I started to get dressed and ready for the main event. We all wore the clothes that were given to us that were then auctioned off and sold to the different women.

This event taught me how to work a room, walk in heels, and to be confident of myself.

Association of International Schools in Africa 2010

From the 18th of October to the 20th of October I was a room stewards in the A.I.S.A. conferences at the Safaripark Hotel.

By being the room stewards we did various tasks, such as; making sure everyone was in attendance to the specific lecture, and making sure there were enough supplies such as water, paper and pencils. While setting up for each lecture you would get to know each speaker. They would talk to me about my future, about what I wanted to do in life and I learnt some very valuable lessons from each one of them. But I didn't just learn something from the teachers and principles I learnt something from the technicians there as well who taught me about how to set up equipment.

Working at the A.I.S.A. conferences gave me valuable information in which I will and have used to help me with my future.
